Marinex Construction Inc., a Charleston marine construction company, received an additional $8.3 million from an Army contract to add more dredging work to a project at the Savannah Inner Harbor. Work is expected to be completed in August 2018. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Savannah first awarded Marinex a $16.3 million contract for the project in January.
